Job summary

Miller Integrated Solutions in Port Lavaca, TX seeks an Experienced Hydroblasting Technician to perform hydroblasting, tank cleaning, and related duties. You will operate and troubleshoot hydroblasting, vacuum truck, and tank cleaning equipment, and work safely in a heavy industrial environment.

Applicants should be able to pass pre-employment screenings, possess a TWIC card, and be willing to work 12-hour shifts, nights/weekends, and overtime as needed, with travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Waste handling experience in industrial settings preferred; refinery experience a plus.
• TWIC card required.
• Work in hazardous industrial environments with heavy machinery.

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

• Hydroblasting, Tank Cleaning, and Pressure Washing as needed.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
• Show proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
• Operate 10k and 20k pumps & Hydro Blast tooling safely and efficiently as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with hydroblasting equipment and high-pressure systems.
• Dependable, willing to work additional hours as required, and be team oriented.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.

Qualifications – Minimum Education and Experience

• Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre‑employment screenings.
• Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Refinery experience.
• Valid TWIC Card.

Work Environment

Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.

Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12‑hour shift with 30‑minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customers and other Miller sites as needed.

Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
