Job summary

Connections Personnel is seeking a Direct Hire Technician A for the 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) in Springfield, NJ. The role focuses on assembly, testing, and verification of advanced fluid-control components for aerospace and other precision applications.

Responsibilities include assembling and testing devices per procedures, operating high-pressure test systems, electrical testing with diagnostic tools, and maintaining clean-room conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of technical or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience using hand tools and measurement devices including torque wrenches, height gauges, and calipers.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical procedures.
  • Proven experience assembling and testing electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure fluid, gas, and cryogenic testing.
  • Electrical testing including dielectric and insulation-resistance testing.
  • Strong computer literacy (Word/Excel).
  • Experience working in clean-room environments.
  • Manufacturing or machining experience is a plus.
  • Background checks and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing of mechanical/electro-mechanical fluid-control devices per procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Operate and maintain high-pressure test systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, calibration-fluid) and test stands.
  • Conduct electrical testing with diagnostic tools.
  • Work in clean-room environments with accurate data collection.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and validate hardware using systematic methods.
  • Use oscilloscopes and other diagnostic equipment to support testing and analysis.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
  • Lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs as needed.

Connections Personnel is hiring for a Direct Hire Technician A 2nd shift 3pm-1130pm for our client located in Springfield, NJ. Looking for candidates who have been mechanics for the military services or auto mechanics that have experience with mechanical components on vehicles or aircrafts to join the team.

Responsibilities:

A Technician performs the assembly, testing, and verification of advanced fluid-control components for Aerospace, Nuclear and other applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who thrives in a precision manufacturing environment and enjoys working with complex electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly and performance testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical fluid-control devices in accordance with engineering procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Operate, maintain, and help develop high-pressure test systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and calibration-fluid test stands and pumps.
  • Conduct electrical testing and verification using a variety of electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Work within controlled clean-room environments and conduct particulate analysis with accurate data collection.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and validate hardware using systematic diagnostic methods.
  • Utilize oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment to support testing and analysis.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Lift and move equipment or components up to 50 lbs as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of technical or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience using various hand and measurement tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, height gauges, and calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical procedures.
  • Proven experience assembling and testing electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure fluid, gas, and cryogenic testing.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing, including dielectric and insulation-resistance testing.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in clean-room environments.
  • Manufacturing or machining experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware using diagnostic tools.
  • Drug test/background checks, and everify prior to starting.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
Education
  • Minimum: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Vocational school graduate, Associate Degree or Certificate in Engineering Technology.
