Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company in Newton, NC is seeking a Production Associate to learn facility tasks and support daily plan execution for efficient plant operation.

This full-time role involves 12-hour shifts (Mon–Fri, may include weekends/holidays), with potential night shift from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am. You will follow safety rules, operate packaging equipment, and contribute to a safe, audit-ready facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks, including visual, size and weight checks.
• Communicate any deviation from standards to the Team Leader.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and attend off-shift meetings as required.

SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to learn facility tasks and carry out daily plan to maintain efficient operation of the plant. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.

PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: Works shift as assigned and overtime as required.

12-hour shift Mon - Friday which may include weekends and potential holidays

Night shift - 5:00 pm - 5:00 am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation.

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP’s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.


• Ability to operate machinery on a production line including high speed packaging equipment.


• Follow all food safety and personal safety rules and regulations.


• Perform all required checks, including visual checks as well as product size and weight checks.


• Immediately communicates any deviation from standards to Team Leader.


• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.


• Participates in Continuous Improvement activities and occasionally attends off-shift meetings as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
