The technician will support the Communications and Control Engineering Group primarily as a field resource responsible for checking settings, communications, and controllers or distribution devices. This includes work related to battery storage systems, program verification, troubleshooting, and database maintenance for this equipment. The role involves coordination with engineers and technical services staff to ensure device functionality and communication integrity.
The technician begins their day at a service center (MDC) and receives direction from the Engineering Group. They will travel to assigned field locations to perform communication equipment installations, verify programming, update communications, troubleshoot, and support engineers remotely. The role is 100% on‑site and field‑based, traveling throughout Colorado.
Highly collaborative, requiring constant communication with engineering and technical staff. The technician must be a team player and comfortable working independently in the field while taking direction from multiple groups.
This is a field‑based position. Safety risks are mainly related to driving and traffic. The technician will be required to wear PPE such as a vest and occasionally use a ladder for higher installations. The position may require personal vehicle use.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week with potential for occasional overtime. Overtime is considered an exception, not standard.
Full‑time, 100% onsite/field‑based; primary base at MDC service centers in Colorado.
