Job summary

Velocity Aerospace Group, a PAG subsidiary, is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician in its Burbank, CA facility to test, diagnose, repair and modify a variety of aviation instruments and accessories for customers. You’ll interpret blueprints, perform detailed troubleshooting and ensure high-quality repairs.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in electronic repair, familiarity with oscilloscope and multimeters, soldering, crimping and wiring, plus strong English reading/writing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronic repair.
• Experience with oscilloscope, multimeters, soldering wires and connectors, operation of various crimping tools, wire stripping, continuity testing, pinning out a military type connector, routing and tie wrapping cables, drilling and tapping holes and building junction boxes.
• Intermediate knowledge of computers (Windows).
• Ability to understand verbal/written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits to component level.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders.
• Analyze malfunctions using electronic test equipment, schematics and technical publications.
• Collaborate with team members for efficient and effective work environment.
• Complete all required paperwork related to repairs performed.

Velocity Aerospace Group is a subsidiary of Precision Aviation Group (PAG), a full service, inventory supported MRO provider in the aviation industry with 21 domestic and international business units. Velocity operates 3 repair stations, specializing in the repair, overhaul, installation and upgrade of electromechanical, digital, pneumatic, avionic, and gyroscopic components for aircraft operators and maintainers in the commercial/regional airline, government and defense operation, business and general aviation markets.

Our Burbank, California facility has an opening for an experienced Avionics Technician. You will test, troubleshoot, diagnose component level repair and modify a variety of aviation instruments and accessories to ensure perfect function and provide the customer with reliable and highest quality repairs.

Key Responsibilities include:
