NSA in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer (Level 3) to author and oversee comprehensive technical documentation for cryptologic systems and DoD programs. • 12 years of relevant technical writing experience without a degree (4 additional years substituting for the degree).

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Technical Writer (Level 3) to author, oversee, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, acquisition deliverables, and training materials in Annapolis Junction, MD.

In this role, you will act as a documentation lead for complex cryptologic systems and DoD defense acquisition programs. You will collaborate directly with systems engineers, software developers, and subject matter experts to translate intricate technical concepts, engineering drawings, and operational procedures into clear, accessible documentation. You will also provide quality oversight to ensure all deliverables comply with NSA Data Standard (DS)-89 and DoD publication guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Author, edit, and maintain complex technical publications, user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training guides, and system design specifications.

Develop defense acquisition lifecycle documentation for DoD electronic systems and cryptologic mission platforms.

Ensure all documentation products strictly adhere to the technical manual standard NSA DS-89.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a current Polygraph.

Experience & Education:
