Are you looking for a Technical Writer role whereby you will lead internal and external discovery efforts to understand user needs, evaluate and select vendor solutions, manage the end-to-end migration process, and ensure long-term platform governance?

About the role, this person is responsible for supporting the team in content publishing. They help maximize our investment in technical documentation by helping to ensure that it is available where customers and employees need to use it. We are seeking a strategic and technically adept lead technical writer to drive the successful migration and evolution of developer-facing content to a new portal platform. This role requires a blend of content strategy, user research, technical fluency, and cross-functional leadership.

About the team, this team of Technical Writers is entrusted with the development of clearly written materials to support product implementations and usage; they work on projects such as API descriptions, user-interface instructions, and attribute reference guides. This team also interviews technical staff to collect product information and specifications; collects and organizes technical information and product images and adheres to established terminology, style, and branding quality standards

Requirements

  • Ability to lead end-to-end content migration initiatives, including vendor evaluation, stakeholder alignment, and technical implementation for developer-facing platforms or portals.
  • Proven track record in worked across legal, UX, branding, and international teams to ensure content compliance, usability, and localization, and balancing technical accuracy with user experience and regulatory standards.
  • Used analytics and customer feedback to inform content prioritization, feature development, and iterative improvements—demonstrating the ability to make trade-offs and validate hypotheses through testing.
  • Managed technical documentation systems (e.g., DITA, OpenAPI, metadata, CSS) and contributed to architectural decisions that impact content delivery and discoverability.
  • Owned issue tracking and resolution workflows using tools like Jira, ensuring timely fixes for bugs and enhancements that improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Trained teams and facilitated adoption of new documentation platforms or processes, acting as a change agent and internal advocate for content quality and user-centric design

Responsibilities

  • Website & Development Lifecycle: Solving customer issues with content delivery features that achieve business goals; Has a deep understanding of user technical content needs and develops prototypes; Participates in product discovery; Manages portions of the product lifecycle.
  • Customer Focus: Interacting with internal and external customers and generates requirements; Anticipates customer needs and prioritizes those for the organization; Understands how their role impacts customer satisfaction. Manages documentation strategies for international audiences, including localization, legacy content review, and stakeholder coordination across regions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with legal, data privacy, and regulatory compliance teams to ensure documentation and digital content meet regulatory and corporate standards. Collaborates with product and UX teams to develop strategies for highlighting product features and processes. Collaborate with Technology to develop authentication processes that support customers with easy access to the website and robust account recovery options. Collaborate with Branding and UX teams to align content presentation with user experience principles and corporate branding guidelines.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis: Gatherings data from multiple sources (customers, customer-facing teams, analytics, etc.) to drive solutions to business problems; Demonstrates the ability to make trade-off decisions between potential website capabilities; Evaluates hypotheses in a quantitative manner, including AB testing for interactive products; Effectively manages day-to-day issues and problems without intervention; Generates new ideas by analyzing website usage data for insights.
  • Go to Market & Release Lifecycle: Supporting the go-to-market strategy with good communication of customer requirements and timelines to stakeholders; Assists on launch plans through coordinated development with external customer-facing teams such as support and implementation; Offers training sessions in support of new releases.

Position is eligible for a base salary plus an annual bonus.

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for Colorado, and Washington is 88,700.00 - 147,900.00 USD Annual
