Overview

Job Title: Technical Writer
Location-Type: Fully Remote, EST Hours
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 Month Contract
Compensation Range: $45-54/hr W2 Depending on Experience

Responsibilities

• Document complex IT infrastructure processes and systems, including data centers, servers, infrastructure software, storage solutions, and network environments.
• Produce clear, accurate documentation to serve internal teams, operations, and stakeholders, enabling smooth communication and understanding of infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of technical writing experience in the IT infrastructure domain.
• Proven experience documenting IT systems and infrastructure, focusing on data centers, servers, storage systems, and networks.
• Willing to submit writing samples.
• Strong understanding of technologies such as Windows Server, AIX, RHEL, z/OS, Active Directory, storage platforms, and recovery systems.
• Deep technical analytical skills to extract detail and ask the right questions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with technical writing tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to create documentation that is consistent, easy to follow, and accurate.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills
