Job summary

The Toro Company invites applicants to its 2027 Summer Internship Program, running May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start May 17 and participate through the duration.

You will work with the Toro technical writing team to develop new materials, review and edit text-based and graphic-based materials, and verify existing machinery documentation for clarity and accuracy. Dress for your day, volunteer time, and flexible summer hours are offered, with an hourly pay

Qualifications

• Majoring in Technical Communications from an accredited university.
• Completed junior-level courses preferred.
• Ability to stay organized and use Microsoft Office, Arbortext, and common graphics programs without much direction.
• Experience with step-by-step instruction development, understanding of basic industrial machine functions (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic), graphic arts is preferred.

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Majoring in Technical Communications from an accredited university.

• Completed junior-level courses preferred.

• Ability to stay organized and able to use Microsoft Office, Arbortext, and common graphics programs without much direction.

• Strong desire to learn, collaborate, and effectively communicate in a team setting while achieving a common goal.

• Experience with step-by-step instruction development, understanding of basic industrial machine functions (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic), graphic arts is preferred.
