This role as a Technical Writer within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization is remote, allowing work from a quiet, confidential home space approved by PNC. Note that this position may not be available in all locations.

Job Duties Include

  1. Writing and editing technical and procedural documents
  2. Determining the best publication type to meet project requirements
  3. Collaborating with engineers, programmers, and project managers to understand products or processes
  4. Researching product samples to gain full understanding
  5. Assessing audience needs to tailor tone and technical language for clarity
  6. Creating or collaborating on visual aids like diagrams and charts
  7. Gathering feedback to improve documents

Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills, grammatical proficiency, and the ability to present complex data clearly. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and system integration is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Designing integration schemes and creating links for multi-platform, multi-vendor solutions
  • Identifying technological opportunities and integrating IT resources
  • Understanding architectural standards and gathering project requirements
  • Managing multiple vendors and suppliers
  • Developing project metrics during planning and post-initiation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred skills include application development, business management, customer solutions, design, problem solving, process improvements, release management, software solutions, technical writing, and UX design
  • Competencies include effective communication, hardware infrastructure, negotiation, problem solving, requirements analysis, system and technology integration, systems software infrastructure

Additional Details

  • Salary range: $45,000 - $98,800, varies by location and experience
  • Full-time, remote position
