Overview:
Our client, a global medical device company, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Content Developer to assist in creating comprehensive instructional labeling for cutting-edge medical devices for clinical and commercial products.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain advanced knowledge of the company's products and the therapies in which they are used.
- Partner with subject matter experts to develop content to achieve specific and immediate business objectives. Metrics will be used to determine the effectiveness of content.
- Understand the design control process and complete the required documentation for projects.
- Develop content using content management systems and other tools, create output mechanisms, and analyze system workflows.
- Forecast and meet project deadlines and budgets. Report on project status and alert managers and internal customers of potential issues.
- Assist in maintaining art, photo, electronic, and printed document files to meet departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate discussions and represent the Technical Communication team.
- Clarify and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
- Seek ongoing knowledge of industry, regulatory, linguistic, and publication standards and apply this knowledge to all projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform essential functions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing labeling for medical devices, including writing/editing, graphic design, or project management in a heavily regulated environment.
- Supporting design controls, producing five different documents such as requirements documents, verification plans, reports, and summaries.
- Authoring in XML using Oxygen XML editor.
- Experience working in a Content Management System (CMS) for publishing.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives, developing procedures, and maintaining lean processes.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Astoria, and knowledge of desktop publishing systems, XML, XSLT, and CSS.
