The Technical Writer is responsible for producing and maintaining technical and administrative documentation that supports product lifecycle activities, maintenance operations, training programs, and customer service functions.
This includes writing, editing, and organizing material for manuals, procedures, reports, briefs, proposals, and instructional publications.
The writer gathers information from supervisors, engineers, technicians, and subject matter experts; reviews existing documentation; and observes operational or developmental activities to ensure accuracy and completeness. They access technical data such as drawings, specifications, parts lists, and manufacturer information to integrate technical details into clear, concise, and standardized documentation.
This role directly supports the mission by ensuring personnel have accurate, accessible, and mission‑ready documentation across multiple platforms, facilities, and operational environments.
