Job summary

Openwork is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer (Environmental Compliance) in Pasadena, TX to build out critical compliance documentation and shape processes for ISO 14001 certification. You will partner with SMEs, format procedures, and maintain central document libraries while leveraging advanced Excel for data reconciliation and audits.

The role is contract-based (6 months) with standard hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, pay in the $25–$30/hr range.

Qualifications

• Strong background in technical writing, procedure writing, and document control/management.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams.
• Prior experience in environmental sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and format site environmental procedures using templates.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex information into standard documentation.

In this high-impact and collaborative role, you will be responsible for building out crucial compliance documentation and helping shape processes as our client actively pursues ISO 14001 certification.
