Job description

Technical Writer 3 High Performance Computing Program

Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to support the government customer's large High Performance Computing (HPC) related program. This program is on the cutting edge and includes everything from HPC test planning and execution, architecture design and prototyping, and vendor outreach and collaboration support. Program technical areas include commercial cloud technologies, high performance computing, and enterprise architecture. The program is tactically important to the national security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results in achieving their planned objectives of this growing, high-profile program.

The Technical Writer writes and edits programmatic documentation using the approved Government templates/formats and will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of programmatic documentation including:

  • Program Management Plan (PMP),
  • Program Acquisition Strategy (PAS),
  • Operational Capabilities Statement (OCS) / Statement of Capability (SOC),
  • Functional Requirements Document (FRD),
  • Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP),
  • Systems Engineering Plan (SEP),
  • Program Protection Plan (PPP),
  • Cybersecurity Strategy (CSS), and
  • Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with poly clearance required.
  • Experience required:
    • HS Diploma and Twelve (12) years of demonstrated combined experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, OR
    • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required and eight (8) years of Technical Writer experience, OR
    • A Master's degree in a technical or related discipline and six (6) years of relevant experience.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
