We are seeking a Technical Writer on a contract basis to provide high-quality documentation, code samples, and tutorials for creators. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content that helps developers build immersive experiences on the platform. This role is 100% remote, preferably in EST.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate, concise, and engaging documentation for Horizon---Worlds, including API references, guides, and tutorials
- Develop code samples and examples that demonstrate best practices for building immersive experiences in Horizon Worlds
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and design, to ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information and create content that meets the needs of the developer audience
- Work independently to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with minimal supervision
- Continuously improve and refine documentation based on feedback from internal stakeholders and external users
Skills And Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience writing for a developer audience, with a focus on technical documentation and code samples
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with version control systems
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise language
- Ability to work independently and escalate issues where needed
Preferred
- Experience with 3D AR/VR gaming and a preference for experience with technical writing for platforms
- Experience working on large-scale technical documentation projects
- Knowledge of media production and instructional design principles, with experience creating interactive tutorials and guides
