Job summary

MM Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team, supporting Keysight Technologies, Inc. through clear, accurate documentation of our custom-designed products and test-system solutions.

You will translate complex technical data into manuals, user guides, and engineering specs, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, manage multiple projects, ensure AS9100D compliance, and deliver precise content for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, with 4-5 years of relevant experience in technical documentation preferred.
• Familiarity with the AS9100D standard and experience working within regulated environments is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, and Access Database).
• Strong collaboration skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
• Knowledge of technical illustration, schematic development, and experience with evolving product designs will be highly valued.
• Candidates must also be capable of working independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity in all documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation and manuals in accordance with Keysight quality and design standards, ensuring all safety information is current and properly included in customer-facing guides.
• Create and update various technical documents, including user manuals, maintenance instructions, assembly guides, and engineering specifications, maintaining version control and accuracy.
• Shadow technical teams working on system and switch matrices to gain in-depth understanding of products and solutions, developing visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and schematics to enhance documentation clarity.
• Develop proposal generation materials, including Visio diagrams, product data sheets, and conceptual guides, to showcase engineering expertise and support business development efforts.
• Review and edit proposals to meet DoD and commercial contract standards, ensuring compliance with specific requirements and standards necessary for winning contracts.
• Document testing techniques, laboratory procedures, and equipment specifications, incorporating this information into user manuals and internal documentation.
• Translate manufacturing information from ISOWs, ATPs, and specifications into user-friendly manuals and system logs, supporting internal manufacturing and testing teams.
• Collaborate positively with team members and clients, embodying company values to foster a productive and innovative work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and quality standards.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our dynamic team at Keysight Technologies, Inc, under the umbrella of MM Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive technical documentation, manuals, and marketing materials that accurately represent our custom-designed products and test system solutions. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring our clients and internal teams have access to clear, precise, and user-friendly information. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical data into accessible documentation. This position reports directly to the Projects Manager and offers an hourly wage range of $32-$40, DOE, with full-time benefits.
