Job summary

Team Carney, Inc. is seeking a technical writer/editor to translate complex scientific, medical, and IT concepts into clear language for end users. The role involves writing and editing project deliverables, user guides, video scripts, and marketing assets to ensure publication-ready documentation.

The position is remote with periodic on-site presence in Silver Spring, MD. You will adapt writing styles for manuals, e-learning scripts, and marketing briefs, and must have strong editing discipline

Qualifications

• An Associate Degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with technical writing/editing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability clearance.
• Proven ability to explain complex technical ideas in simple language.

About the Work You will translate complex scientific, medical, and IT concepts into clear, accessible language for end users. Writing and editing project deliverables, user guides, video scripts, and marketing assets, you ensure all written documentation is publication-ready and easily understood. What You Bring to the Table

• Education:at least an Associate Degree inEnglish, Technical Writing, or related field.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience of professional experience with technical writing/editing.

• Mastery of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and publishing tools.
• Proven ability to explain complex technical ideas in simple, grade-school-level language.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability clearance.
