Aerospace Electronics Technical Writer - 100% Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with a strong electrical engineering and aviation experience to support documentation efforts for a new product line in the aviation sector. This role is critical to the successful certification and deployment of aviation electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for electrical systems.
  • Write change reports for component substitutions (e.g., PCB component replacements due to supply chain constraints).
  • Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise documentation for internal and regulatory use.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to gather technical data and ensure accuracy.
  • Interpret and incorporate electrical schematics, circuit board layouts, and low-voltage motor specifications.
  • Ensure documentation complies with FAA and aerospace industry standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the aviation/aerospace industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and aerospace documentation standards.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Prior work on Boeing aircraft programs is highly preferred
  • Experience documenting new product introductions in regulated environments.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.00/hr.
