Job summary

E2 Optics in Columbus, OH is hiring a Technical Training Supervisor to lead internal training for the E2 IQ Development Program, from onboarding through ongoing development. You will design engaging solutions and drive workforce growth in a fast-moving tech integrator environment.

You will assess needs, build training assets, and coach leaders to elevate performance while maintaining standards across site training programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
• 5+ years construction/telecommunications/data center industry experience.
• BICSI Installation certifications preferred.
• RCDD Certification preferred.
• Service orientation and instructing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal technical training for the E2 IQ Development Program from onboarding to ongoing development.
• Assess company-wide needs, design engaging training solutions, and boost workforce productivity.
• Plan, implement, and maintain site training assets and programs.

What You'll Do

Ready to make a real impact? As a Technical Training Supervisor, you’ll drive employee growth by leading the internal technical training efforts for the E2 IQ Development Program. From onboarding to ongoing development, you’ll assess company-wide needs, design engaging training solutions, and enhance workforce productivity. You'll take charge of planning, implementing, and maintaining site training assets—creatively building programs that anchor knowledge and boost performance.

• Implement and execute the E2IQ Technical internal training strategy for the Company.

• Administer both academic and hands-on training methodologies that closely emulate expectations for execution in the client’s space.
• Obtains and develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
• Trains and coaches leaders and other internal customers involved in employee development efforts.
• Develop and maintain training standards for administration of training program and local site training centers.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Continuing Education credits/certifications in relevant Low Voltage technical developmental programs, (i.e., Fluke, Corning, CommScope, etc.).
• 5+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
• 5+ years construction/telecommunications/data center industry experience with strong background in multiple facets of the technology.
• BICSI Installation certifications preferred.
• RCDD Certification preferred
• Service orientation, Instructing.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight and confined spaces.
