Description

Leidos is seeking aTechnical Training Project Manager serves as a technical subject matter expert and project manager for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training and performance improvement projects, collaborating with stakeholders and project teams to provide process and technical training and performance improvement solutions. This role is responsible for developing project plans for training and performance improvement initiatives; collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure buy-in and transparency as projects are executed; and teaching courses in person and virtually. As a technical subject matter expert, this role provides feedback on command media (policy/process) content and updates and supports implementation and change management when processes are deployed or updated. This role also ensures quality, accuracy, and consistency of training and performance improvement assets across the program. Exceptional business knowledge, project management, technical and operational capacity, and stakeholder engagement capability are required to lead training and performance improvement projects and guide development activities to successful solutions.

Advanced Training & Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, instructional design/education, organizational psychology, or a related field with 3-5 years of IT or cybersecurity experience in lieu of degree. Nice to have: Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or certifications in change management (e.g., Prosci or Lean Six Sigma)

Responsibilities
  • Lead project needs analysis and requirements gathering sessions, using performance improvement frameworks and processes to identify performance gaps and recommend training and other performance improvement solutions.
  • Integrate training and performance improvement solutions into the program curriculum.
  • Ensure all solutions align to operational standards and current SOPs.
  • Create and implement interactive, engaging, scalable content including videos, simulations, instructor-led materials, facilitator and participant guides, PowerPoint presentations, and job aids using rapid prototyping, SAM, ADDIE, and agile development approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders, SMEs, other ID’s, Marketing teams, consultants, and other project team members on the assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions.
  • Measure and evaluate learning effectiveness at higher levels, using operational metrics and learner data, and proactively implement continuous improvements.
  • Manage content lifecycle, documentation, and version control.
  • Able to lead both small and enterprise-reaching learning design and development efforts.
  • Able to develop rapid training project plans, functional training measures, and content delivery schedules.
  • Capable and experienced in facilitating and leading training and coaching sessions, and leading train-the-trainer sessions, scoping calls, project meetings, and other events.
  • Adapt project management and asset development using non-traditional or limited technical resources.
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
  • Proven track record managing projects and meeting deadlines and requirements.
  • Experience coaching and training team members on processes and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience providing feedback for command media (standard operating procedures, processes, checklists).
  • Ability to interpret policies, SOPs, and quality requirements and convert them into clear, actionable training.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, including via virtual communication tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation tools) and communication, collaboration, and work planning tools (Confluence, SharePoint, Jira).
  • Data-driven approach to evaluating project outcomes.
  • Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms.
Desired Knowledge

This role will collaborate with SMEs and team leads in Critical and Technical Operations, and as needed in other areas of the organization. You will be fully responsible for scoping, creating, and maintaining training and performance improvement solutions (e.g., job aids, checklists, and other on the job supports) for technical team members in our organization. Your dynamic and engaging training and performance improvement solutions will serve our new and existing employees and the development of our leaders. To support these audiences, you will leverage existing content and build new and varied content that may include instructor-led training (in-person and virtual), eLearning, self-paced learning, role plays, skills drills, simulations, and job aids. The Technical Training Project Manager will excel in project management, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational change management.

Pay Range

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
