United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Technical Trainer, Electrical (Starship) to develop and deliver hands-on electrical training for diverse audiences. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and rapid mastery of critical electrical subjects.

You will collaborate with SMEs to design engaging content for online and classroom delivery, lead modules, and assess learner performance, scheduling enrollments, and coordinating vendor resources as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience as a technical/on-the-job trainer, conducting hands‑on, instructor‑led technical courses.
• Journeyman or NCCER industrial license.
• 3+ years of experience with electrical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or education.
• 1+ years as a heavy equipment and extended reach vehicle operator/trainer.
• Master electrician license.
• Proficiency with ERP software, Microsoft Office, video editing, and online training module development.
• Ability to independently analyze, review, and research electrical and manufacturing processes and applicable codes, rules, regulations, and standards.
• In‑depth understanding of electrical install, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

TECHNICAL TRAINER, ELECTRICAL (STARSHIP)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create course materials using educational tools: PowerPoint, student handouts, exams, study materials, and instructor‑led student assessments

• Own, create, and edit training Engineering Masters (EMs) for relevant training courses

• Partner directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (online, classroom, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes, including but not limited to: Safety cable/wire, fastener installation, high‑pressure systems, WARP software training

• Lead training modules (classroom and online) for electrical teams on a variety of technical topics

• Assess and evaluate student performance through practical tests, projects, and written exams

• Organize, schedule, and manage enrollments, attendance, and student performance

• Develop process specifications and research on new technologies

• Perform special assignments. (e.g. leading vehicle or process modifications in the field)

• Engage Production Management, Engineering, Quality and other subject matter experts to gather feedback and implement process improvements for future training modules

• Coordinate with third party vendors for specialized resources and instruction

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate

• 1+ years of experience as a technical/on-the-job trainer, conducting hands‑on, instructor‑led technical courses

• Journeyman or NCCER industrial license

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of experience with electrical systems

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or education

• 1+ years as a heavy equipment and extended reach vehicle operator/trainer

• Master electrician license

• Proficiency with ERP software, Microsoft Office, video editing, and online training module development

• Ability to independently analyze, review, and research electrical and manufacturing processes and applicable codes, rules, regulations, and standards

• In‑depth understanding of electrical install, maintenance, and troubleshooting (fixture/component repair, circuit testing, preventative maintenance, machinery electrical/electronic systems, hydraulic and pneumatic devices)

• Ability to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair devices; use electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments, including precision instruments

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams schematics, technical manuals, and reports

• Excellent oral and written training and communication skills; proficiency developing training programs, materials, and student assessments

• Team‑oriented self‑starter able to meet/exceed objectives in a multi‑project environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Mustbe able to work overtime and weekends based on site operational needs
