Job summary

Prestonwood Christian Academy seeks an experienced theatre educator to teach 7th–8th grade theatre and advanced classes. You will guide students in acting, stagecraft, and production principles, while coordinating technical aspects of PCA theatre productions.

You will also oversee set design, load-in/load-out, and coordinate volunteers, working closely with the Upper School theatre teacher and Fine Arts Director. Attendance at festivals is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theater is required or equivalent subject hours.
• Experience teaching middle to upper school theatre is preferred.
• Membership in Prestonwood Baptist Church is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach 7th through 8th Grade Theatre and Theatre I/II with emphasis on technical theatre.
• Oversee technical theatre productions: set design, construction, load-in/out, and coordination.
• Attend PSIA One Act Play competition and ITS events as required.
