Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4 engineers, creating psychological safety, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Own the technical vision and roadmap for the Bookings team, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with business objectives and architectural best practices.
  • Champion code quality, testing, and automation, proactively identifying and resolving technical debt.
  • Collaborate with the team’s product manager, designer, QA Analyst, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions.
  • Spearhead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve team efficiency and product capabilities.
Must-Have Skills
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying scalable, cloud-native applications using Node.js, React, and Typescript on Kubernetes. Deep understanding of GraphQL API design, microservices architecture, and MongoDB.
  • 1+ years of experience directly managing and mentoring a team of software engineers, including performance reviews, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, including performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong architectural skills, with experience designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and secure systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience optimizing booking flows and conversion rates in a marketplace environment.
  • Experience with GCP.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Cloudflare.
  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
