The role

As our Technical Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll take the lead on building the science team with top machine learning talent. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with Science leadership to shape hiring strategies, deliver exceptional candidate experiences, and bring in the talent we need to scale. You’ll play a key role in helping us build a diverse and high-performing team across our machine learning and research science functions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end hiring for all science in North America, from kick off to offer.
  • Partner closely with Science leadership to deeply understand hiring needs, headcount plans, and role requirements.
  • Source and engage exceptional candidates across technical and operational disciplines, with a focus on building fully representative pipelines.
  • Provide an excellent candidate experience throughout the process, acting as an ambassador for Wayve’s values.
  • Use data to continuously improve funnel conversion, time to hire, and hiring quality.
  • Support hiring managers with best practice guidance on interviewing, feedback, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the wider People & Talent team to support onboarding, branding, events, and process improvements.
About you

In order to set you up for success as a Talent Partner at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.

  • Proven experience hiring for machine learning roles
  • Strong sourcing skills and ability to build pipelines from scratch using a variety of channels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management – able to influence, advise, and build trust with hiring managers at all levels.
  • Experience working in-house and collaborating cross-functionally with People, Finance, and Ops.
  • Passion for candidate experience and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse or similar ATS tools.
  • Comfortable working in a startup or scale-up environment with evolving processes and priorities.

This is a full-time role, based in our office in Sunnyvale. At Wayve we want the best of all worlds so we operate a hybrid working policy that combines time together in our offices and workshops to fuel innovation, culture, relationships and learning, and time spent working from home.

We understand that everyone has a unique set of skills and experiences and that not everyone will meet all of the requirements listed above. If you’re passionate about self-driving cars and think you have what it takes to make a positive impact on the world, we encourage you to apply.

DISCLAIMER: We will not ask about marriage or pregnancy, care responsibilities or disabilities in any of our job adverts or interviews. However, we do look to capture information about care responsibilities, and disabilities among other diversity information as part of an optional DEI Monitoring form to help us identify areas of improvement in our hiring process and ensure that the process is inclusive and non-discriminatory.
