Job Overview
Develops, educates, and enables the Company’s solution strategy throughout the theater, focusing on strategically significant accounts and opportunities within Panduit Solutions. Works with the Strategic/Territory Account Manager to identify, develop, and close opportunities at district, regional, and theater levels. Serves as the technical solution expert within the field, complementing the Strategic/Territory Account Manager by providing technical guidance and ownership of the opportunities. Keeps up to date on current technologies, techniques, and processes for Panduit’s offerings, solutions, and infrastructure management. Builds relationships with key account stakeholders on a technical level and provides technical linkage between the customer and Panduit Business Units.
Essential Responsibilities
- Opportunity Management: Identifies and qualifies opportunities early via close interaction with the account team, understanding customer business issues/needs. Manages less than 25% of opportunities with high potential revenue, with guidance. (30%)
- Solution Architecture: Architects solutions ranging from simple to complex, individually or within a team. Understands when to involve Professional Services for design, working on solutions for national opportunities or large accounts across multiple states or countries. (25%)
- Training and Support: Provides product and technical training to Account Managers, Distributors, Channel Partners, and System Integrators to keep them updated on product developments. Supports regional trade shows and seminars. (20%)
- Customer Relationships: Builds and sustains strong relationships with customers and partners, owning all technical aspects and providing guidance. Acts as a trusted advisor to at least 5 Large Named Accounts. (15%)
- CRM Utilization: Uses CRM tools to communicate updates and drive opportunities. (10%)
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8-10 years of experience in promoting professional services to grow solutions
- 5 years in distribution and direct channels
- Excellent technical communicator, with experience in technical presentations
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, BICSI, Rockwell)
- Ability to learn quickly, maintain a broad portfolio of solutions, and self-motivate for continuous learning

- Reading and interpreting technical and engineering standards

- Knowledge of latest technologies from key partners (Cisco, Tridium, etc.)
- Understanding of Panduit product specifications and industry standards (ANSI/EIA/TIA, ISO, IEEE, NEC, BICSI)
- Understanding of passive and active management in Data Centers, and automation solutions in industrial markets
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the theater, sometimes on short notice, via air or road
