The role focuses on resolving hardware and software problems, documenting interactions, and staying up-to-date with product developments. Onsite, Monday–Friday schedule with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Computer science degree preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of technical experience or programming required.
• Onsite position – Monday-Friday – 8am-5pm.
• Knowledge of MS Office 365, Windows, and mobile operating systems.

Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a Technical Support Representative to join our VALUES based organization with a strong background in screens, referring and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Providing technical support to customers who are experiencing problems or issues with a product or service. This may involve troubleshooting hardware or software problems, answering technical questions,providing guidance on product usage or taking apart a computer and working inside thecomputer.
• Resolving customer issues in a timely and effective manner. This may involve working with other departments or vendors to resolve more complex issues.
• Documenting customer interactions, including the nature of the problem, steps taken to resolve the issue, and any follow-up that may be required.
• Communicating with customers in a clear and concise manner. This may involve explaining technical concepts in non-technical language or translating complex technical information into easily understandable terms.
• Creating technical training documentation by researching, drafting, and designing technical documents such as manuals, guides, diagrams, and schematics.
• Updating technical documentation to reflect changes in products, services, or processes. This may involve adding new information, modifying existing content, or removing outdated information.
• Maintaining technical knowledge by staying up to date with the latest product developments and technical trends in order to provide effective technical support to customers.
