Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) invites qualified students for an Intern, Technical Support position at the Mesquite, Texas site. This internship focuses on assisting with technical tasks, data collection, and supporting equipment setup for tests and experiments.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed.
Must be enrolled in a technical college or degree-seeking program.
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
Assists with technical tasks and project support.
Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
Learns technical processes and procedures.
Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
Handles basic issues and problems
