Job description

Are you ready to use your technical skills to help protect lives and support communities during critical events? At Everbridge , we’re looking for a Norwegian-speaking Technical Support Engineer (TSE) to join our high-impact team. In this role, you’ll support cutting-edge, mission-critical systems that help governments and agencies save lives and keep people safe when it matters most.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in Norway.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Public Warning solutions across Norway and the broader region. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our systems.


What you'll do:
  • Providing high-level technical support to primarily Norwegian customers.
  • Managing and resolving incidents and support tickets according to defined SLAs.
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and identifying issues before they escalate.
  • Coordinating software upgrades, installations, and platform configurations in a Linux environment.
  • Delivering training sessions to clients as needed.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to improve platform resilience.
  • Reporting on progress to management and supporting the delivery of ongoing improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:
  • Strong experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of IP configuration, VPNs, routing, databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL), and general security protocols.
  • Fluent Norwegian language skills (both verbal and written) – essential.
  • Experience or understanding of telecom networks (2G–5G) – a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Cisco routers/switches, AWS/cloud services, and basic scripting is preferred.
  • Relevant certificates (e.g., Linux+, Cisco) are a bonus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and support business-critical systems.
