Job summary

A leading technology company in Houston, TX is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide effective customer support via phone and email. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and at least 3 years of related experience. Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Provide timely and effective technical support to customers through phone and email communication.

Document customer interactions.

Develop tailored instruction guides to support troubleshooting and product use.

Assist technicians in troubleshooting OMICRON test equipment.

Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures.

Collaborate closely with Application Engineers and other Technical Support Engineers to increase knowledge and ensure prompt resolution of customer issues.

Assist engineers with technical issues and recommend solutions.

Develop and implement resolutions for identified problems following standard practices and procedures.

Identify, document, and recommend improvements to existing procedures and tools to enhance customer satisfaction.

Support continuous improvement of component repair methods and capabilities.

Participate in company promotional activities (fairs, exhibitions, conferences, etc.).

Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

General knowledge of power systems, especially in the fields of power system protection and network equipment. Excellent command of written and spoken English and excellent presentation skills is required. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Reliable work style with self-initiative. Enjoy working in a small team environment.

Quickly adapt to new processes, system enhancements and workflow changes.

Available to participate in company's activities (fairs, exhibitions, conferences, etc).

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working with Windows operating system.
