Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong power systems knowledge.

  • Familiar with GB, DL, IEC standards and industry practices.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand project requirements, standards, and on-site conditions.
  • Lead preparation of technical proposals, system diagrams, layouts, and specs for transformers, switchgear, etc.
  • Perform electrical calculations (short-circuit, load, voltage drop) to ensure feasibility and safety.
  • Recommend suitable product models and configurations based on customer needs.
  • Prepare and respond to technical sections in bidding documents and tender responses.
  • Participate in pre-bid clarifications, bid presentations, and post-bid negotiations.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on cost estimation and technical deviations.

I. Job Responsibilities
Technical Consultation & Solution Design:
  • Engage with customers to gain an in-depth understanding of project requirements, technical standards, and on-site conditions.
  • Lead the preparation of technical proposals, system diagrams, layout drawings, and technical specifications for products such as transformers, compact substations, switchgear, etc., based on customer needs.
  • Perform necessary electrical calculations (e.g., short-circuit current, load capacity, voltage drop) to ensure solution feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
  • Recommend the most suitable product models, configurations, and brand selection options.
  • Be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and responding to technical sections in bidding projects, ensuring full compliance with tender document requirements.
  • Participate in pre-bid technical clarifications, bid presentation meetings, and post-bid technical negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the commercial department in cost estimation, technical deviation explanations, and highlighting competitive technical advantages.
Customer Communication & Relationship Management:
  • Conduct product technical presentations and solution demonstrations, addressing customer inquiries on specialized technical issues.
  • Organize or participate in technical exchange sessions and product promotion events to enhance customer awareness of the company’s technical capabilities.
  • Collect and analyze market and competitor technical trends, providing feedback to R&D and product departments.
  • Deliver product training to the sales team, equipping them with core technical selling points.
  • Accurately communicate project requirements to R&D and production departments, contributing market demand insights for new product development.
  • Assist in resolving major or recurring technical issues during project implementation and after-sales service.
  • Develop and maintain sales support materials such as product technical whitepapers, solution case studies, standard configuration lists, and FAQs.
II. Qualifications
Educational Background & Professional Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, High Voltage Technology, Automation, or a related field.
  • Solid theoretical knowledge in electrical engineering, with familiarity in power systems, power distribution design, and relay protection principles.
  • Proficient in national and industry standards (e.g., GB, DL, IEC) and aware of specific technical specifications from grid companies and large enterprises.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D, design, application, or technical support for medium-voltage power distribution equipment (transformers, switchgear, compact substations, etc.). Experience in power design institutes, equipment manufacturers, or large-scale user power departments is preferred.
Product Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of the structure, principles, key components, and mainstream manufacturers’ product features of transformers (oil-immersed/dry-type), switchgear (e.g., medium-voltage withdrawable cabinets, ring main units), and compact substations.
Software Skills:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar electrical drawing software, and familiar with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM is a plus.
Abilities:
  • Excellent customer communication, proposal presentation, and technical negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into customer-friendly language.
  • Capable of quickly understanding complex customer scenarios and providing innovative, customized solutions.
  • Strong business acumen to support commercial success from a technical perspective and maintain customer relationships.
  • Adaptable to frequent customer interactions, business travel, and bidding pressure, with strong teamwork skills for collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to independently prepare rigorous, clear, and professional technical proposals and tender documents.
