Technical Support Analyst (Remote Position)

Austin, Texas

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Support Technician to provide technical assistance and user support for a variety of applications and systems within DFPS. The technician will assist in system monitoring, application troubleshooting, software development support, and documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of computer operations, information systems, and information security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance for application-related issues.
  • Monitor, maintain, and provide guidance on system and application usage.
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications and subsystems.
  • Support the upgrade of existing applications and ensure proper security controls are maintained.
  • Develop user guides and procedure manuals.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and evaluations on system performance and utilization.
  • Document service records in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with users and team members to ensure understanding of system functionality.
  • Participate in requirements-gathering sessions and assist in process documentation.
  • Provide training as needed to ensure user proficiency with applications.

  • 100% Remote (Telework within the United States)
