Job summary

United Grid Solutions in Fort Mill, SC seeks a second-level Technical Specialist to apply fundamental concepts in biology, GIS, or environmental science with supervision. The role focuses on developing independence and technical judgment while supporting project goals and client needs.

You will analyze complex problems, prepare detailed technical documents, mentor junior staff, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in area of expertise with 2 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree (MS); or 5 years of relevant technical experience.
• Understanding of fundamental concepts in area of expertise.
• Ability to apply sound and diversified knowledge of the principles and practices of the technical area.
• Proven Computer skills appropriate for area of expertise.
• Time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work activities to meet goals and deadlines.
• Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Excellent research and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Overview

This is the second level of the Technical Specialist classification. Provide technical expertise and judgment in the application of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to a technical field of specialization (i.e., biology, GIS, environmental science, etc) with some supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills in their area of expertise, and the ability to work with greater independence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under some supervision, in the area of expertise will provide
