Job summary

Occidental Petroleum Corporation’s OxyChem division in Dallas seeks an experienced Technical Service Specialist to provide technical support to customers, sales, and the supply chain, and to serve as the primary technical contact. The role resides at our Dallas corporate office and supports our Basic Chemicals business.

You will protect health and safety, work with production and QA teams, develop data sheets, communicate findings, and travel as needed to support customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of Chlor-Alkali industry experience or closely related field.
• Knowledge of chemical principles, lab practices, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers, sales, and supply chain.
• Serve as primary technical contact with customers.
• Respond to technical inquiries from customers.
• Develop data sheets and technical bulletins.
• Train Sales and Technical personnel on product applications and safety.
• Prepare technical reports, charts, and PowerPoint presentations.
