Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Solution Architect for HPC & AI. This role focuses on cutting-edge, high-performance, high-scale customer solutions across a wide range of industries and end-users. The team covers High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and is responsible for the end-to-end infrastructure design of a fully functional HPC & AI cluster.

This is a telework position based in the Central US.

Responsibilities
  • Configure hardware clusters for HPC & AI workloads using knowledge of Infiniband and Ethernet networking.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of company hardware products and infrastructure solutions to translate the functional view into a technical view and architect scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in one or more solution domains, products, services, and customer environments.
  • Develop compelling customer proposals, review them critically, and manage expectations to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Quantify business impact, position value, and identify strengths/weaknesses of the proposed solution to achieve long-term objectives.
  • Provide input to global business units on IT trends, gaps, or unmet needs.
  • Translate outcome-based solutions into functional and technical designs that scale with customer needs.
  • Communicate how solution value propositions address customer business needs.
  • Track emerging technologies and contribute to industry development through conferences and events.
  • Incorporate technology trends within the IT industry and customer industry.
  • Gather and apply competitive intelligence as part of account support.
  • Support Account Business Planning with industry trends and customer environments.
  • Participate in deep-dive discussions and partner with the account team to build relationships and present technical strategies for transformation.
  • Produce comparative analyses of alternative approaches to meet requirements.
  • Develop, configure, and right-size an optimal workload solution balancing cost, scope, scale, and benefits to deliver value.
  • Leverage partner products and services to enhance solutions and coordinate with service providers/partners.
  • Transfer knowledge to external partners to deliver effective solutions.
  • Proactively build pipeline by identifying opportunities within the account (enhancements, unmet needs, up-selling, cross-selling).
  • Monitor the account pipeline and nurture deals from opportunity to close.
  • Use pipeline insights to prioritize activities for high-potential deals.
  • Participate in sales forecast meetings and contribute to accelerating the sales lifecycle.
  • Document ongoing work and share best practices with peers and partners to improve collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with customer executives across the business and industry.
  • Share knowledge with peers and help develop junior team members.
Education and Experience
  • First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree in technology preferred.
  • 8+ years of technical IT experience with a focus on technical consulting and solution selling.
  • Knowledge-based and/or 1+ years of relevant industry certifications strongly preferred.
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management certifications are helpful but not required.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience leading solution configurations and demos/POCs to meet customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the company product portfolio and how to combine solutions to address customer needs.
  • Ability to translate aaS and ecosystem offerings into customer outcomes and prioritize aaS models that maximize value.
  • Understanding of aaS business model variations and cross-functional collaboration to meet strategic goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and applicable local languages as needed).
  • Advanced ability to persuade and challenge proposed solutions while maintaining professionalism.
  • Advanced business and financial acumen, including sales cycle, pipeline, KPI awareness, and ROI concepts.
  • Advanced consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing.
  • Strong CRM proficiency and partner relationship capabilities.
  • Experience engaging SMEs/specialists as needed.
  • Ability to design and deliver product/demonstration playbooks and live demonstrations to customers and partners.
  • Excellent project and time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of partner offerings and how to leverage them for deals; understanding of the go-to-market strategy and geographic considerations.
Pay and Benefits

USD Annual Salary: $148,500.00 - $288,500.00. The posted range reflects on-target pay combining base salary and target-level sales compensation for sales roles; for non-sales roles, it reflects base salary. The offer may vary by location and experience.
