Job summary

Mfinite Consulting LLC is recruiting for a contract-based architecture professional to shape the NC state systems. The role supports onsite, hybrid or remote assignments in Raleigh, NC, with typical 12-month contracts and extensions.

The candidate will design architectures, develop standards and roadmaps, and ensure alignment with enterprise goals while coordinating with state agencies and NCDIT. Equal opportunity employer and direct deposit offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in cloud (Azure or AWS), integration/APIs, data or infrastructure.
• Strong diagramming and written documentation skills.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.; able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Design solution, application, technical or domain architecture for new and existing systems.
• Develop technical standards, reference architectures, patterns, blueprints and technology roadmaps.
• Assess whether proposed solutions fit the State's enterprise architecture (hardware, network, software, security).
• Guide decision makers to the most compliant, cost-effective option.
• Work with agency SMEs, business liaisons and NCDIT to align business and IT.
• Research technology and market trends in your architecture area.

Mfinite Consulting is building a pool of technical, solution and enterprise architects for contract assignments with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments typically run 12 months, often with extensions; agencies set the schedule (onsite, hybrid or remote).

Pay & Schedule

• $46 – $58 per hour, based on experience and skill level
• Full-time, about 40 hours per week
• Contract assignment; W-2 hourly employee of Mfinite Consulting LLC
• Direct deposit

What You'll Do

What You Need

• Architecture or senior engineering experience (Junior 1–3 years, Mid-Level 3–5, Senior 5–7, Expert 7+)
• Hands-on background in cloud (Azure or AWS), integration/APIs, data or infrastructure
• Strong diagramming and written documentation skills
• Eligible to work in the U.S.; able to pass a background check

Great Fit If You Have

• TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect or similar certification
• Public-sector enterprise architecture experience
