Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Technical SETA – Synthetic Biologist, Nucleic Acid and Protein Synthesis for onsite support in Arlington, VA.

This role provides SME guidance and programmatic support to DARPA BTO, translating core synthetic biology to scalable processes. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree, 6+ years of relevant experience, an active Secret clearance, and the ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to execute literature evaluation of the state of the research in emerging technologies and provide overviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide foundational SME support and programmatic guidance to DARPA BTO Program Manager, translating core synthetic biology to scalable methods.
• Assess synthetic biology techniques and ensure adherence to established standards and best practices, including evaluating economic viability downstream.
