Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a Technical SETA – Structural Biology and Protein Engineering to provide on-site programmatic support for DARPA BTO.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Science.
• 10+ years of related work experience.
• Experience evaluating performer-designed approaches across diverse therapeutic modalities and assessing methodologies such as high-throughput screening, precision mutagenesis, computational discovery, or structural characterization.
• Strong organization and communications skills, particularly in briefing preparation to present complex technology to senior leadership.
• Experience maintaining systematic program data logs, database archives, and technical portfolios.
• Experience drafting high-quality technical content for program briefings, transition reports, and draft solicitation materials (such as Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs)).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Able to work fully onsite in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Translate advanced principles in structural biology, protein engineering, computational biochemistry, and pharmacology into technical oversight and program management for DARPA BTO programs.
• Provide programmatic support to Program Managers and oversee performer management for next-generation therapeutics and countermeasures.
• Support evaluation and review of proposals, technical portfolios, and BAAs as part of program decision processes.
