We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Technical Services Manager – Window Film & Glass Technologies to join its team in Pinellas Park, FL.
This is a highly visible, technical and customer-facing role supporting Window Film and Specialty Film products. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise across product selection, application, installation, performance, troubleshooting, testing, training, and field support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, distributors, dealers, installers, and internal stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot product and application-related issues and develop effective technical solutions.
- Support technical sales calls and field/sales organizations.
- Assist with warranty administration and glass-breakage-related matters.
- Support energy analysis and window-film modeling programs.
- Train employees and customers on relevant technical and modeling software.
- Manage technical specifications, solar-performance data, and external industry databases.
- Support LEED and rebate programs.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Management on new product development.
- Develop and facilitate testing protocols for solar-control, safety, and security films.
- Support technical training programs, application instructions, and fabrication samples.
- Participate in industry committees and initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement, Six Sigma, Voice of the Customer (VOC), and quality/environmental management programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, documentation, and customer experience.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Engineering, or another scientific/technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in window film, glass & glazing, window manufacturing, or a related industry preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, installers, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make sound decisions and respond quickly to field challenges.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM, and email.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with energy management or window modeling software.
- Knowledge of adhesives, coatings, laminating, or finishing processes.
- Experience with technical training or public speaking.
- Experience with product testing, specifications, or technical documentation.
- Work Model: Hybrid — typically 3 days onsite and up to 2 days remote
- Travel: Up to 30% domestic and international travel
- Environment: Office and manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of filmed glass and work extended hours when business needs require.
