Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and support to customers, sales teams, operations, and quality departments.
• Serve as subject matter expert for brazing, heat treating, nitriding, and related thermal processing technologies.
• Develop and implement processing parameters from customer specs and drawings.
• Lead investigations related to quality concerns and root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with operations to optimize processes.
• Support aerospace quality standards compliance including AS9100 and NADCAP.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, control plans, and first article inspection reports.
• Conduct technical training and mentor employees on metallurgical principles and problem-solving methodologies.
• Participate in customer meetings as trusted technical advisor.

A global manufacturing organization specializing in advanced thermal processing and engineered metal solutions is seeking a Hybrid Technical Services Manager to serve as the primary technical resource for customers, operations, quality, and commercial teams.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced metallurgical or materials professional with expertise in brazing, heat treating, nitriding, and aerospace quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and support to customers, sales teams, operations, and quality departments
• Serve as the subject matter expert for brazing, heat treating, nitriding, and related thermal processing technologies
• Support customer applications, new product introductions, and process development activities
• Develop and implement processing parameters based on customer specifications, drawings, and requirements
• Lead investigations related to quality concerns, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with operations to optimize manufacturing processes
• Support compliance with aerospace and industry quality standards including AS9100 and NADCAP
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, control plans, and first article inspection reports
• Conduct technical training and mentor employees on metallurgical principles, quality systems, and problem-solving methodologies
• Participate in customer meetings and serve as a trusted technical advisor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, heat treating, brazing, thermal processing, or related environments
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment principles, time-temperature transformation relationships, and brazing processes
• Experience with aerospace quality systems and standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, CQI-9, CQI-12, and IATF 16949
• Proven ability to solve technical and process-related challenges in a manufacturing environment
• Strong customer-facing communication and project management skills
• Experience with SPC, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement preferred
