Job summary

Library Jobline's Cortez location seeks a mid-level Technical Services Librarian to ensure accurate and organized access to library materials. This onsite, full-time role serves the Cortez community, with Monday–Friday hours and one rotating Saturday per month.

Key duties include managing interlibrary loans, cataloging items in the ILS, and maintaining records. The role supports patrons and provides basic money handling and user education.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in database searching with strong computer literacy.
• Clear written and verbal communication with strong customer service.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with coworkers and the public.
• Ability to count money and maintain accurate records.
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 1+ year cataloging and interlibrary loan experience.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.

Job description

The Technical Services Librarian supports smooth, reliable access to library materials by ensuring records, services, and patron support are accurate and well organized. This mid-level, onsite, full-time role serves the Cortez community and works Monday-Friday with one rotating Saturday each month.

Additional Info & Requirements

This full-time position works closely with other full-time staff as part of the Collection Development team. While not a supervisory position, it does include providing direction and oversight to part-time staff and volunteers.
