Job summary

Everpure, Inc. is seeking a Technical Services Engineer (DSE) for Portworx to be the technical champion for strategic accounts.

You will ensure the reliability of large-scale Kubernetes deployments across hybrid clouds and serve as the bridge between customer success and R&D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in customer-facing technical support, especially for critical accounts.
• Proven Kubernetes deployment, management and security experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes distributions such as Tanzu, OpenShift, EKS, Rancher, GKE, etc.
• Extensive experience deploying, securing, and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters across multiple distributions.
• Linux OS expertise with storage components to troubleshoot data-layer issues.
• Hybrid Cloud fluency across AWS, Azure, GCP and vSphere.
• Strong partnership and communication skills to navigate escalations and align technical solutions with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive Strategic Customer Success: primary technical contact for designated accounts with proactive monitoring and high-touch engagement.
• Lead Complex Incident Resolution: end-to-end ownership of critical incidents in large-scale deployments with deep-dive analysis across the stack.
• Accelerate Engineering Innovation: collaborate with escalation and development teams to reproduce bugs and analyze logs for reliability improvements.
• Guide Deployment Lifecycle: work with customers from pre-sales POCs and onboarding to production scaling using best practices for Kubernetes clusters.
• Codify Best Practices: author KB articles and lead knowledge-sharing sessions to improve Portworx ecosystem resilience.

THE ROLE

As a Technical Services Engineer (DSE) for Portworx® by Everpure™, you will be the dedicated technical champion for our most strategic, high-value accounts. You will provide a \"white-glove\" support experience, moving beyond reactive troubleshooting to become a proactive extension of your customers' engineering teams. By mastering the Everpure™ Platform, you will ensure the stability of large-scale Kubernetes deployments across hybrid clouds, bridging the gap between customer success and internal R&D. Your mission is to foster deep technical trust, ensuring that our key partners maximize the reliability and performance of their mission-critical data services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Drive Strategic Customer Success: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for designated accounts, providing proactive monitoring and high-touch engagement to prevent issues before they impact production.
• Lead Complex Incident Resolution: Take end-to-end ownership of critical incidents in large-scale deployments, performing deep-dive analysis across the full software stack to ensure rapid restoration of services.
• Accelerate Engineering Innovation: Collaborate directly with escalation and development teams to reproduce complex bugs and analyze system logs, ensuring customer feedback directly influences product reliability and usability.
• Guide Deployment Lifecycle: Partner with customers through every phase—from pre-sales POCs and onboarding to production scaling—applying best practices to secure and optimize Kubernetes clusters.
• Codify Best Practices: Translate unique customer challenges into scalable solutions by authoring internal and external KB articles and leading knowledge-sharing sessions to improve the overall resilience of the Portworx® ecosystem.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in customer-facing technical support, with experience in designated or specialized support for critical accounts.
• Expertise in Kubernetes: Proven experience in deploying, managing and securing Kubernetes production clusters.
• Experience working with various Kubernetes distributions such as: Tanzu, Openshift Container Platform, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RKE), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), etc.
• Kubernetes & Container Mastery: Extensive experience deploying, securing, and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters across diverse distributions, including OpenShift, Tanzu, EKS, RKE, or GKE.
• Advanced Systems & Storage Expertise: Deep proficiency in Linux operating systems with a specialized focus on storage components, enabling you to independently troubleshoot complex data-layer issues.
• Hybrid Cloud Fluency: Hands-on experience architecting and supporting solutions across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization platforms like vSphere.
• Strategic Technical Partnership: Proven ability to manage high-stakes customer relationships, leveraging strong communication skills to navigate escalations and align technical solutions with business outcomes.

Work Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the North Carolina office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:

$122,000 - $183,000 USD
