Job summary

PTC in Boston's Seaport District is seeking an energetic Onshape Technical Services specialist to deliver engaging product demonstrations and support sales by showing our cloud-native CAD/ PDM/ PLM platform to prospects. You will become the in-house expert on Onshape and help expand its footprint across North America.

The role requires a strong CAD engineering background, excellent communication, and a 3-day-per-week in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical CAD software (Onshape, SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Siemens NX, etc.)
• Experience in delivering product demonstrations.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex customer requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a technical equivalent.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled individual to join the Onshape Technical Services team. The ideal candidate is articulate and experienced in delivering engaging product demonstrations. You will collaborate with a fast-paced, in-office team at the PTC HQ in Boston’s Seaport District, supporting our sales efforts by showcasing our product to potential new customers. This role demands a strong understanding of engineering applications (CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA, etc.) and the ability to effectively communicate our product’s unique features. You will play a crucial role in introducing a next-generation product design platform to a broader audience.This role requires a 3-dayper week in-office minimum.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience and familiarity with PDM or PLM products (SOLIDWORKS PDM, Windchill, Autodesk Vault, Siemens Teamcenter)
• Experience with engineering software such as CAM, FEA/CFD, ECAD.

PTC carefully considers a widevarietyof factorswhendeterminingcompensation.Theanticipatedannual salary range for this positionisbetween$130,000 - $155,000.The salary rangereflectsa good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.Actualcompensationmay vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
