Job summary

Gentherm Medical LLC seeks a Technical Service Specialist to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on hospital equipment, with training and customer support provided. You will ensure swift return to full operation for customers.

Responsibilities include shipping preparation, on-site service, documentation, and collaboration with the service team. A technical degree or trade certificate and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or trade certificate in electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration systems preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications and ability to support customers remotely or on-site.

• Prepare cartons for shipping.
• Receive, decontaminate, and evaluate units.
• Service and repair small equipment (supervised).
• Build spare parts.
• Document all service work, evaluations, etc.
• Troubleshoot CE machines in the production stage.

Technical Service Specialist

Impact and Opportunity

Gentherm Service Technicians perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on equipment. They also provide training, guidance, and support to our customers, ensuring that the hospitals we serve can swiftly return their broken units to full operation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Prepare cartons for shipping Receive, decontaminate, and evaluate units
• Service and repair small equipment (supervised repair of equipment)
• Build spare parts
• Document all service work, evaluations, etc.
• Troubleshoot CE machines in the production stage

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Have working knowledge of refrigeration, and related theory
• Have working knowledge of electrical circuits, AC & DC
• Have experience with Digital Multi Meter (DMM)
• Have the ability to read electrical schematics and refrigeration diagrams
• Must have the ability to assist customers over the phone with technical inquiries
• Must have the ability to work with customers in high stress situations
• Must have basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Must have to ability to follow SOPs, DWIs, and any other component of Gentherm’s Quality System

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Gentherm equipment
• Previous experience with supporting customers over the phone
• Technical degree or trade certificate in electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration systems
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel
• Previous experience with ERP systems
