Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a hands-on Technical Service Representative to support electric rope shovel repairs at customer mine sites, primarily in Arizona and New Mexico.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with major capital rebuilds, working 40–60 hours per week with some travel. The role follows the Morenci mine schedule and requires strong problem-solving in outdoor environments, coordinating with electricians,

Qualifications

• Must be able to connect monitoring devices to analyze signals and interpret data.
• Must be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory and in the Electrical Field.
• Prefer prior experience with PLCs, ABB software, Control Builder, Drive Windows, Drive Composer, instrumentation, AC/DC, motor controls, VFDs, Allen Bradley, motors, rectifiers, etc.
• Understand how circuits work and how to read and understand Electrical Schematics.
• Must be able to safely work in a Team Environment for the betterment of Komatsu Mining.
• Must be prepared to perform Root Cause Analysis on failures and effectively draft reports for customers, internal personnel and Product Support.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a hands‑on, safety‑minded Technical Service Representative to support Electric Rope Shovel repairs at customer mine sites—primarily in Arizona and New Mexico. You’ll spend your days troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on electric rope shovels, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with major capital rebuilds and overhauls.

This position follows the Morenci mine schedule, and works 40 - 60 hours per week. Some days this job is on the road up to 6 days a week depending on capital projects.
