Bring your technical expertise to LANXESS and become the go-to problem solver for our customers. As a Technical Service Manager, you’ll deliver smart solutions that make a real impact in the world of specialty chemicals.
- Offer technical support for industrial finished lubricants through various forums such as email, visits, virtual meetings, and trade shows. Provide technical data, advice, and solutions to sales teams, distributors, and customers, generating meaningful sales opportunities for BU LAB.
- Develop solutions with existing or new products for current and new applications or product ideas for the Finished Fluids portfolio. Support customers on a technical level by collaborating with product management, account managers, business development, and technical teams, with a sense of urgency, to achieve the best outcomes.
- Conduct technical trials at existing and new accounts to generate new sales revenue, coaching customers on applications, formulation, and testing guidance.
- Develop and maintain trustful and reliable relationships with all channels, customers, and distributors.
- Establish and nurture deep relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure the successful integration and performance of LANXESS's finished fluid solutions.
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of long and short-term strategic sales plans for the industrial fluids business.
- Build and maintain reliable external relationships with customers and distributors
- Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships with sales, application technology, technical service, product management, business development, production, supply chain, and procurement teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or a related field or comparable experience.
- MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- Must have technical service experience with strong customer focus, business savy, and driven to generate sales revenue.
- Must have Finished Fluids application hands-on experience and be omfortable working safely and on-site with customers and OEM's.
- Creative and solution oriented strategic thinker with the ability to consider new approaches to old problems.
- Self starter with entrepreneurial skills and the ability to take action quickly to accomplish goals.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Technical Service Manager role or similar position.
- Must be able to travel up to 60 percent of the time.
- The territory for this postion may encompass all regions of the United States.
