Job summary

Teknor Apex is seeking a Technical Service and Development Engineer II for Color & Additives Masterbatch Solutions, serving as a trusted technical partner to customers and internal teams. You will work with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and customers to develop and optimize color and additive masterbatch solutions that deliver real-world performance.

The Engineer leads technical support, troubleshoots processing challenges, and provides hands-on assistance during product trials to ensure

Qualifications

5+ years in plastics color or additive concentrate/compound industry, focused in Technical Service or Product Development.
Hands-on experience with twin-screw processing and lab equipment.
Familiarity with rotational molding, blow molding, and injection molding.
Strong knowledge of polymer processing, pigments, additives, and structure–property relationships.
Excellent technical communication with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead customer-focused innovation and new product development across targeted markets.
Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to optimize masterbatch solutions.
Serve as primary technical contact for customers and internal teams.
Troubleshoot processing and product performance issues; provide timely solutions.
Coordinate and interpret analytical and physical testing with labs and partners.
Support product trials and enable growth through technical expertise.
