Job summary

Geon Performance Solutions is seeking a customer-focused Technical Service Engineer to serve as the technical expert supporting our polymer solutions in injection molding and extrusion applications. You will lead process optimization, troubleshoot complex processing challenges, and run customer trials to unlock performance gains.

In this highly visible, hands-on role you’ll connect with customers, Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D to resolve issues, implement improvements, and drive cost savings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plastics processing, technical service, or process engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise in Injection Molding and/or Extrusion.
• Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Plastics or Chemical Engineering preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization, troubleshooting, and customer trials for GEON products.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers, Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D.
• Investigate and resolve processing issues and customer complaints through root cause analysis.
• Evaluate customer manufacturing operations and recommend improvements that drive quality, productivity, and cost savings.
• Partner with commercial teams to strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.
• Present technical findings, project outcomes, and performance improvements to customers and leadership.
• Support design for manufacturability, tooling, Moldflow, process simulation, and product launches.

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Plastics or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• 5+ years of plastics processing, technical service, or process engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise in Injection Molding and/or Extrusion.
• Strong knowledge of PVC, ABS, PP, and other thermoplastics.
• Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
