Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Search Developer to join our Data and Analytics team nationally. Our headquarters are located in St Louis, but this position is REMOTE and can work anywhere nationally.

Job Overview:

As a Search Developer, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients. You will work with solution architects and developers to interpret and translate wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements and technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering, including design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting software applications.
• Ensure adherence to the technical software development process, following industry best practices.
• Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable Java and JavaScript applications.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to determine appropriate technical strategies and designs to meet business needs.
• Adapt and work effectively with team members of various experience levels.

Qualifications

• Passionate coder with 3 years of application development experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with Java or C#, and Search Technologies such as Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Solr, Coveo, Lucidworks, Algolia, or Google Vertex Search.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with the ability to analyze logs and error messages to identify root causes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Self-starter capable of working independently.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent consulting and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizations.
