SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced Agile lead who can drive Scrum ceremonies, remove blockers, and refine product backlogs while partnering with Product Owner. You will design and maintain backend services in Java with Spring Boot, champion TDD, and guide DevOps practices across CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Remove impediments to maintain velocity.
• Refine backlog with Product Owner and track Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown).
• Coach team on Agile best practices and self-organization.
• Manage SDLC phases from requirements to deployment and support.
• Implement Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and DevOps methodologies.
• Oversee QA activities (unit/integration/UAT).
• Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins.
• Design and maintain scalable backend services with Java/Spring Boot.
• Lead code reviews, enforce TDD, ensure engineering quality.
• Participate in architecture discussions for scalability.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Actively remove technical and process-related impediments to maintain team velocity
• Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog and track Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown)
• Coach the team on Agile best practices, self-organization, and continuous improvement
• Manage all phases of the SDLC from requirements through deployment and ongoing support
• Implement and optimize development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and DevOps
• Oversee quality assurance activities, including unit, integration, and UAT testing
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Lead code reviews, enforce TDD practices, and uphold engineering quality standards
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure scalability and long-term alignment

Skills

• Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks with CSM or PSM I/II certification
• Advanced proficiency in Java (17/21+), Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile tracking and documentation
• Solid understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing strategies
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and front-end frameworks (React/Angular) is a plus
