In the Technical Sales Specialist role, you will be responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base. You will develop New Opportunities for Instruments and Services in the MD/DC/VA region.

In the Technical Sales Specialist role, you will be responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy for the assigned customer base. You will develop New Opportunities for Instruments and Services in the MD/DC/VA region.

Remote-based position with the ideal candidate located in MD/DC/VA with sales experience in this region. Must be able to reside in this geographic area.

What You Will Accomplish Together With Us

  • Promote the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or key account to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy
  • Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity
  • Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriate
  • In this role, one of your responsibilities will be to develop and implement account plans and request and coordinate resources in line with the account plans
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team to create a higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account
  • One of your duties will be to coordinate and participate in marketing activities in the assigned territory
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it in the business
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long-term partnership
  • Willing and able to travel within the territory as needed

What Will Convince Us

  • Associate’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field
  • You have sold into or have sales experience within the Government research complex, that is NIH and FDA
  • 3+ years' field sales experience with laboratory/process-based experience in Life Science
  • High awareness of quality and responsibility, and are customer-focused
  • Self-motivated, energetic, results-oriented, with the capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
